Suzana Duarte Santos Mallard, Ph.D., is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota, a psychoanalyst, and holds a degree in Psychology from the Federal University of Paraná (Brazil). She earned her doctoral degree in Psychosociology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ/EICOS). She is a member of the Biblioteca Freudiana de Curitiba and the DIASPOTICS/UFRJ research group. Her scholarship focuses on migration, diaspora, and the psychological impacts of displacement. Currently residing and practicing in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she provides psychoanalytically informed psychotherapy and counseling with particular attention to migration, diasporic experiences, and cultural identity. Her research interests include mental health in forced migration, decolonization, Afro-feminist praxis, and transcultural approaches.
